Peacock fishery

I don't have photos so you'll have to believe me. Fishing near the beach last week and saw a surface blitz of what appeared to be bigger fish than usual. I went there and proceeded to catch 7 peacocks between a pound and two in less than a half hour. Talk about fun! My arm was getting tired. Those things really fight. We will have our hands full when they reach 3 pounds! I have been upset about the fear that peacocks were taking over our fishery, but they sure are fun to catch.

3 1/2 inch crank / jerk bait in a sort of perch like color. I really don't think they are too picky when active. I have never caught one on any kind of soft plastic. They seem to like movement and flash

You better save some fish for me . I have been crushing my barbs on those hard baits. It makes it so much easier for me and the fish. Sure I'll lose one every now and then but it's worth it. Don't get me wrong I wont be doing that in a tourney
