I took the liberty of zooming in on the rod and reel. I'll let him tell you what he was using. That must have been a great fight.

Has anyone caught a peacock in the quarry?

I've been speaking with a few guys that are fishing and everyone is finding these peacocks. I had a bunch of fish today with at least 6 or so of them. They fight a bit tougher than a largemouth and they're aggressive.

Lots of weeds and a tough first outing.

Hello Jack! I hope all is well. I wish you were still my neighbor! After two years of being here I see those making decisions have done a good job at protecting the lake. I also know that we could collect our own data. I'm going to see if we can make something here where anglers could...

Has anyone caught a peacock in the quarry?

I think the fish in my video is a Butterfly Peacock. I was surprised to find that there are multiple peacock bass. Also they love warm water whick would explain why so many have been caught recently.

Lots of weeds and a tough first outing.

The fish are here its just a matter of finding them. My good friend Joe has been slaying them. He's is lifelong angler that is old school and he keeps good records on everything he catches. He doesn't give a lot of info but he did say he's staying away from the weeds.

This one almost looks like a cross between a peack and a largemouth?

Lots of weeds and a tough first outing.

Hello all! I Fished for about 2 hours for 2 small ones. The weeds were much thicker than I've seem them in the past. Not much debris considering the storm. The water is very dirty and deep! I'll be at it again later!

Should Dave, or could Dave, have killed that snook for dinner?

Hello All, I won't be long now before I'm back down in paradise! With the snook being over the slot limit according to Fl regs, the question arises did Dave have the right to kill it? We have a strict catch and release policy, but would a snook be considered an invasive species that would be...

    Smithtown Bay New York

Hello Quarry! Fishing in NY has been great. Here's a pic I took of my friend Steve with a 32 inch slot fish. Notice the bunker in her mouth. Our regs are 28-39 inch are keepers, and the rest of the fish we caught were all over. This is in the Long Island sound.
