Lots of weeds and a tough first outing.

I Fished for about 2 hours for 2 small ones. The weeds were much thicker than I've seem them in the past. Not much debris considering the storm. The water is very dirty and deep!

I totally agree. I fished all last week and they were a very tough bite. The weeds were really thick. I tried pitching and flipping the weeds with minimal luck. Only caught about 10 in 6 days of fishing.

I have said it before. The fishing has gone downhill each year since l first started in 2013. I am no longer a resident but l still have hope the lake committee and the fishing club will be able to exert enough pressure on the board to do a detailed lake study. They have spent millions on improvements but nothing on the biggest asset the Quarry has. Don’t give up!

The fish are here its just a matter of finding them. My good friend Joe has been slaying them. He's is lifelong angler that is old school and he keeps good records on everything he catches. He doesn't give a lot of info but he did say he's staying away from the weeds.

I hope all is well. I wish you were still my neighbor!

After two years of being here I see those making decisions have done a good job at protecting the lake. I also know that we could collect our own data. I'm going to see if we can make something here where anglers could participate. We would have more data than any study could provide.
